Pregnancy Testing and
Pregnancy Options Counseling

CFHC offers urine pregnancy testing with results available immediately. A woman with a positive pregnancy test may receive pregnancy options counseling, information and referrals as needed.

Counseling is unpressured and focused on assisting the woman to work toward a decision that is in her best interest. CFHC staff are here to give accurate information, listen openly and empathetically, and ask questions aimed at helping clients find their own answers. We strive to treat women with respect for their needs. Partners, parents, or other friends may be included in counseling if requested.

Referrals for further counseling, adoption services, prenatal care and social services are available upon request.

Post-Abortion Support & Counseling

The Health Center's counselors are sensitive to the varied feelings that can accompany abortion and the need some women may have for help in addressing those feelings. We acknowledge that for some, abortion can be experienced as a major loss akin to other types of pregnancy loss, and merits its own grief process.

CFHC will provide brief post-abortion counseling upon request, and can provide referrals to therapists familiar with issues surrounding pregnancy loss. In addition, the Health Center carries several helpful books that deal with this issue.
